Under Arm pH Evaluation
This test measures the acidic or alkaline pH of the skin in the underarm area. It is an essential test for determining the effectiveness of underarm care products, including deodorants and antiperspirants. The pH of the skin affects the bacterial growth on the skin, and an optimal pH level helps prevent the growth of odor-causing bacteria.
The evaluation of the underarm pH level is done using Skin-pH-Meter PH 905. The device measures the pH of the skin non-invasively and accurately. The test involves placing the probe of the device on the skin surface and taking the pH reading. The underarm pH test is done before and after product application to determine if the product is maintaining or changing the pH level of the skin in the underarm area.
This information helps cosmetic companies to optimize the formulation of their products to maintain the optimal pH level of the skin and prevent the growth of odor-causing bacteria.
